Dry skin in winter, Simple tips

1. Oiling before bath, we all know that but it is as simple as it is. Common oils that are beneficial are refined coconut oil( Pls don’t use the one pressed at mills as it may contain some contaminants that do real harm than any good. A brand like Parachute is perfectly fine )

2. Next simple Tip is an extension of above but don’t want our readers to miss it – Applying a good Brand Sunflower Oil/ Safflower oil. A refined Variety is fine or an organic Variety is best. The Linoleic acid in sunflower and safflower are very good to help dry skin condition. Also both the oils are loaded with good quality of sunflower oils.
3. Use a gentle cleanser preferably without SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate). A baby soap or bodywash should be good. I like the Himalaya gentle baby bath. If I am not using our own products.
4. A fine cold process handmade soap is also good. Its loaded with with glycerin. And remember all handmade soaps are not good, some are actually more drying than a commercial soap(many of us must be having this bad experience but they may be designed to be more cleansing than a commercial soap ). Pick a cold process soap from a good brand one. Also transparent soaps are not true cold process soaps, they are filled with chemical sometimes harsh and sometimes gentle.
5. Use any moisturizer. I say “Any” is better than “None”. Natural ingredients are good. But don’t fall into trap that “any thing natural is best”. Sometimes the percentage of natural ingredient in the product is so less that it is ineffective. So choose a good brand even if it is commercial.
6. Want to stay all natural??
-oil before bath and use a mild cold process soap and put few drops of Sunflower in ur palms and apply when wet and wipe off.
-Oil before bath and use utban for cleansing skin.
Hope u it helps some of you……….
